Northern Pride came back from 18-point down at half time to win25-24 at Pizzey Park

Burleigh started the game with two quick tries,from Jamal Fogarty and Kurtis Rowe.

The Pride scored in the 22nd minute, when Luke George, sprinted down the wing and put a grubber kick inside, Hudson caught the ball to score the prides first try.

Burleigh scored again in the 28th minute when Fogarty scored Burleigh’s third of the day.

 

After the break  Josh Ailaomai dived over to score Burleigh’snext try .

The Pride started to claw their way back,

A try to Coen Hess got them  to 24-12,and a try to Colin Wilkie got them within 6 points.

pride scored again in the 68th minute and conversion levelled the score.

Jordan Bioni-odo delivered a final punch with a dramatic field goal.

Mal Meninga Cup Redcliffe Dolphins V Northern Pride.

 

The Northern Pride Under 18′s impressive winning streak ended today when they met the Redcliffe Dolphins powerhouse team in the semi final of the Mal Meninga Cup.

The Pride posted early points leading 10 – nil in the opening stanza of the game but from then on the points all went Redcliffe’s way.

Full Time Score Redcliffe 60 Northern Pride 10. Try scorers for the Pride were Keelan White & Daniel Mooka with Bradley Stephen kicking the conversion.

Round 6 Tweed Head Seagulls v Northern Pride.

A COURAGEOUS defensive performance in the first 15 minutes was the catalyst for Tweed Heads Seagulls continuing on their winning in their round 6 Queensland Rugby league Intrust Cup clash with Northern Pride .

Pride dominated the possession during that opening periods they had ball-carriers pulled down within a metre of the Seagulls try line on more than one occasion .

It truly was a memorable defensive performance by the home side which, after weathering the onslaught, finally got their fair share of possession and subsequently field position to enable them to run in four tries to take what appeared to be an unassailable 24-0 in the sheds at half-time.

Northern Pride ensured it was a nail-biting finish by posting three tries after the break, the final touchdown with three minutes still on the clock.

Corey Blair had a match to remember – he shouldn’t have had to put his hand into his kick to buy a beer at the post-match function.

Round 5 Dolphins v Logan Magpies

Dolphins returned to form in stunning fashion at Dolphin Oval on Sunday.

From the opening whistle the Dolphins dominated the match with a flawless opening forty minutes, completing their sets and controlling possession.

The Magpies had no answer to the Dolphins juggernaut, by the time the visitors got some decent possession twenty minutes had passed on the clock and the Dolphins had racked up twenty four unanswered points.

Bronco Dane Gagai opened the scoring when the Magpies couldn’t handle a Joe Bond up-and-under, Liam Georgetown made no mistake with the conversion to see the Dolphins lead 6-0.

A week shy of the tenth anniversary of Damian Richters racking up a club record 40 points against Logan City Liam Georgetown racked up a personal tally of 34 points coming from three tries a club record 11 goals.
